Tiny Champs

Is it suitable for children?

My kids are shy. My kids are a handful. My kids lack confidence. My kids lack discipline, is Jiu-Jitsu for them? Gracie Barra Jiu-Jitsu is perfect for them. At GB WOLVERHAMPTON we offer a range of children’s’ classes designed to keep your child fit, motivated and most of all – having fun. They will learn respect, discipline, coordination, self-defence, self-esteem and a host of other values that will transition into other areas of their development.

The GB WOLVERHAMPTON Kids programme is a fantastic vehicle for children to learn and enjoy all the aspects Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has to offer in a fun and safe environment. For every GB KIDS class, we endeavour a ratio of 1 instructor to every 8 students. In comparison, an average state-funded primary school is 1 teacher for every 30 children. Our GB KIDS instructors hold updated DBS and safeguarding.

We cater for children from 5 years. Kids can wear joggers and a T-shirt and we have *introduction gi’s for them to wear for their first few classes. Your child’s first class is free and we always have sign up offers and package deals available. You may want to bring a bottle of water – Jiu-Jitsu can be thirsty work!

Building Champions in Life.

Friendship

The mat is a fantastic place to make friends – Training together, trusting each other, sharing success and failure creates strong bonds of friendship and camaraderie between students. It also overcomes shyness and builds social skills.

Risk

Taking risks allows us to fail and from failure, we learn. At Gracie Barra we pursue achievement and take young learners out of their comfort zone. We teach children how to take risks and how to take failure as a step forward.

“Life throws challenges and every challenge comes with rainbows and lights to conquer it” Amit Ray

Respect

Through respecting others we gain respect. At Gracie Barra we treat others the way we would like to be treated and honor the lineage that we are part of. We celebrate our differences as they add to the strength of our team.

Discipline

Develop good habits  – arrive early, be polite, talk with respect, be courteous on the mat, look after your uniform – our strong GBKids programme propagates and promotes these values in our students.

“Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishments” Jim Rohn
