At GB WOLVERHAMPTON we pride ourselves on only hiring the best. Our instructors are highly qualified and highly experienced. Each and every one of our instructors are trained to help motivate you and will make sure that your goals are achieved. Our trainers will be with you every step of the way, making sure that your milestones are reached and that you are staying on track.

 

Upon arrival you will be greeted by our program director or instructor – they will guide you through the facilities and ask you to complete an introduction checklist. Wear loose fitting clothes (joggers/Tshirt) and bring a water bottle and ID – we can provide an *Introduction gi for you to train in during your initial classes. First class is FREE and we usually have monthly offers and discount membership packages available.*subject to availability.

Prof. Nathan Roberts

Multiple IBJJF Champion
International Competitor

Professor Nathan began training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at Gracie Barra Birmingham in 2005 and received his black belt from Braulio Estima in 2012. He is a highly experienced instructor who has been teaching the gentle art since he was a purple belt.

 

Nathan also has over a decade of experience as a primary school teacher and is able to bring these skills to the academy, especially to our popular kids classes. Nathan taught the Future Champions Kids classes at GB BIRMINGHAM before teaching GB2 and GB3 classes at the gym. He established the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu programme at GB COVENTRY and developed an active competition team.

Nathan is an active international competitor, currently dividing his teaching and training commitments between GB BIRMINGHAM and GB WOLVERHAMPTON.

Big Rhys began his Jiujitsu journey at Gracie Barra Birmingham in 2015. Training alongside professor Nathan, Rhys has established himself as a prolific competitor and NoGi tactician – probing technique conquers all!

 

Gaining his purple belt from Braulio Estima in 2017 look out on the international stage for big things from Rhys in the future.

Christian began training Brazilian Jiu-jitsu at Gracie Barra Birmingham in 2007 and is a brown belt under Braulio Estima. An active competitor and teacher, he is also the president and head instructor at the University College London BJJ Society.
